Smiling Jack Smith

I got my first guitar when I was 12 and wrote a song called “Patricia” not long after.
66 years later I’m still at it.
Still writing love songs, and other kinds of songs as well.

The new record, You Can’t Go Home Again, has 13 songs, some new, some older, a few really short pieces that defied elaboration.
It’s not very genre specific, probably the most unifying thing about them is the lyrics.
I have had a love affair with words all my life and I enjoy it more every year.

With some excellent help on this one:

David Gwynn, producer and lead guitar, drum on They’re Counting The Dead.

Hector Oliviera, acoustic bass.

Steve Jordan, drums

Sandra Castro, violin on You Can’t Go Home Again.

Robbie K. Jones, banjo on You Can’t Go Home Again.

David Herrington, trumpet on They’re Counting The Dead.

Jeff Espinosa, Dave Mooney, Robbie K. Jones and Howard Brown, background vocals on Love Love Love.

MacKenzie Smith, graphics

Recorded and Mastered by Jose Rosillo at Audiomatic Studios in Madrid.

This album, whenever possible, should be listened to from start to finish.
